ssd help me please! wont allow me to install windows

Guys can you help me I've got just the m4 in atm to install windows it gives me windows boot manager : unexpected i/o error has occurred :l is the drive dead I updated the firmware first to 0009 then set to ahci then booted from windows disk the bar goes so far then gives me that error please help
 
Sounds like a dodgy optical drive to me. Even if your hard drive was playing up. It would at least reach the page where you format and create partitions etc.

Got another ODD to try? Try it from a flash drive... a lot better :)
 
hmm just put caviar back in it threw a wobbler, blue screen then restart. i guess thats because i didnt change back to ide. how do i go about getting int onto my flash drive ? i have an 8gb flash drive
 
hmm optical seems fine, seems the disk is really scratched. look slike ill have to go to the repository and dl the iso and put on to a usb wit hthe windows usb prog and then use my activation key.
 
Update: booted from usb all fine, gets to install click advance no drives detected :c what now,
