SSD Help Needed Please

Hi,
I have just bought a OCZ Vertex 3 SSD, I had left all of the bios settings as standard. I then installed Windows 7 and started to boot up.
Upon boot up I realised that it had taken over a 30 seconds. Can anyone shed some light on this matter?

Check in the bios that the SATA ports are set to ahci and not IDE mode,if in IDE mode leave it boot into windows and Google enable ahci win 7 and it will give you a simple reg tweak to do
