ssd help please

i want to upgrade to an ssd but i dont want to clone my current hdd i was just wondering if i could do a fresh install off of my windows 7 disc and format my current drive so that i can use it for storage any help would be great

Unplug your current drives, install SSD, boot to Win7 DVD, install Windows, plug old drives back in, copy over essential data, format old drives

As long as you do a fresh install on your new ssd, then plug in your old windows drive after you've got your OS on. There will be no problems.

Not if your boot priority in BIOS is set to use the SSD and not other disk(s)

Also make sure there is no viruses on your current hard drive so it doesnt infect the new SSD.

well the pc is 2 month old and ive not got any virus' yet so its lookin good
