SSD ID wrong

I have a couple of SSDs in my system but one of them is showing the wrong ID in DisK Management/Properties.

I did have a 250GB Samsung 850 EVO but swapped it out for 1TB Crucial MX500.

I now have
250GB Samsung 950 PRO
500GB Samsung 840 EVO
1TB Crucial MX500

For some reason the 840 EVO is labelled as a 250GB 850 EVO (see pics below)
It does work ok and have full capacity and Samsung Magician lists it correctly, but Disk Management gets it wrong.

Any help in correcting this is appreciated. (or should i not bother seeing as it is working fine. :p)

Will just leave it for now. Every thing is working as it should and only noticed it when i was checking what drives was GPT and MBR. (so little to do this morning. :p)

Got a feeling it is Windows glitch so may try wiping it at some time in the future.

Sorted it using regedit.

After seeing it was also wrong in Device Manager as well, i found this guide to rename it.

Worked a charm. :)

The search should take you to the properties of the device you want to edit. Right click on a blank space and select New > String Value. Name this string "FriendlyName" (without the quotations).

Did not have to do this bit as the FriendlyName string was already there. Double clicked that and renamed it.

Nice. I was under the impression GPT is now preferred even for drives less than 2TB because it's more resilient and allows more partitions (if you need a crazy amount that is) than MBR. Did you find different info on this?

To be honest Danny this drive is quite old and i did not even know about GPT back then (or even if it was a thing). :D
