SSD Installation Question

Im doing a complete new build all new parts apart from psu and hard drives and want to install windows 7 onto my new OCZ Agility 3 SSD. Now pardon my ignorance but is it just like installing onto a normal hard drive?
Ive read various other posts that suggest pre formatting before installing into the new build, or can I just start the pc up and format and install through the windows installation like ive dont lots of times before!

My only concern really is that its a sata3 drive and my old pc is sata2 so im not even sure how I could pre format if that is the answer :confused:

just set sata ports to ahci mode before you install windows,then install like you would with any hdd

Thanks for the quick response Wazza, is that a simple case of going into the bios and setting it to ahci in there?

Yeah,its in their somewhere,it will probably say IDE,just change it to ahci,save,exit install windows

Would that be just the ssd or all hard drives?

it will change all the hdd's intel ports to run ahci,it shouldnt be a problem if all your hard drives and dvd burner are sata

They are all sata so that should be fine, thanks again for the quick responses
