Right lads,

Bought 250gb Samsung SSD and am using it for all my programs.

About 10-12 progs in total.

Libre Office, Camtasia Studio, would be the biggies, Gimp, VLC then, Google, Firefox, Uninstallers, CCcleaner, and general utilities.(About 40gb worth) No gaming whatsoever !!

Should I only use the SSD for OS ? or OS plus the programs ? or separate partitions on the SSD for OS and progs ? (I am not really into partitions as I know nothing about them, but willing to learn !)

I have 3 other spare Hdd's about 250gb each, but do not know what to do for the best !

As usual, any info appreciated.

Cheers

use the ssd for os and all those programs, then add in all 3 hdd's for your storage drives,games/films/music ect

you want the os and the longest loading programs on the ssd

Thanks for that quick response.

No need for partitions etc ???....(please say no !!)

no not on an ssd,its just less hassle not to have partitions imo, you can use the three hdd's to separate your files ect as they will act as your storage drives

just keep the os on the ssd and the programs that take long to loadup ect

that's how I would do it
