I'm sure Windows 7 does most of this automatically anyway, and the rest of the "guide" allows you to regain some SSD space. I might be worth it if you're really down on space but otherwise I can't see any real world benefits.
On the Pagefile guide, I'm sure this used when you run out of RAM which I'm sure these days is a rarity? I've always disabled it as I've always had a substantial amount of RAM.
well ive done most of it i wasnt running out of space but wanted to make sure it was optimised i did notice in the guide it said window7 shoudl do most of it but doeant always so i made a few changes etc time will tell i guess
I've applied a couple of these, most of them aren't those fake optimisations you hear about but actually have some logic to them. Definitely check the defrag schedule as mine was enabled! Also I would turn off system restore for regaining space (I got 5GB back), but I have Norton Ghost making backup images so don't need System Restore anyway!!
