Hey, got my entire PC arriving today however it is missing the Mount for the SSD.

Could i still set it up, and install my bits and bobs with the SSD until it arrives tomorrow?

just having it sat somewhere in the case still.

just wondering if this would have any detrimental effect on the SSD, first time SSD user, but not exactly wanting to wait till tomorrow to have to install OS/apps

thanks in advance :)

SSD can be put anywhere and will be absolutely fine. If there's any of the circuit board on show then just make sure it doesn't touch any metal. Most of them are sealed to be fair though.

My SSD is stuck to the bottom of my case with 4 bits of blu-tak. It's been like that since I installed it 12 months ago.
Not the most "technical" solution but it works :)

Mine sits on top of my Blu-ray drive and I've had no issues at all. Part of the beauty of SSDs is their durability.

Yeah. It's not like people look for ways of mounting their ipods and smartphones in their pockets ;).

ha, thanks for the heads up.

according to my Antec 1200 box that just arrived its SSD compatible. so guessing i won't need the bracket after all, spare for some other SSD in the future i guess.
