Hi,

Just installed a 60gb ocz vertex on a ZOTAC GeForce® 9300-ITX-WiFi board and the speeds are really rubbish. I have tried on onboard sata's pciide controller and a StarTech PEXSATA221 sata card on the Jraid controller but still rubbish speeds, does anyone know how to get good speeds out of it, is there a different controller I can use??. I do know its not the drive because when I fit it to my intel motherboard I get almost double the speeds on the msahci controller

Any help would be great :D

Hmmm this is fairly interesting. Are you able to post a benchmark result on both. It would make for a great article and investigation.

I could but it will be a real pain in the behind you will have to take my word for it. I also tried it with an asus u3s6 sata controller and the speeds were fine more what they should be. I am going to have to return this startech card and get another asus one by the looks of it. Doing a bit of reading on the net and it seems Nvidia have **** poor drivers for ssd's and the best I can get with them are 150 read 80 write with a vertex 2e which is a bit pathetic tbh.

That sucks, splurge out for a lovely SSD yet get held back by nVidia's poor drivers. I hope your new set up will be success, let us know how it goes :)
