SSD or HDD

Some games (such as BF3) benefit massively from the faster load times of an SSD, but in the main I keep games on the HDD as it's much better VFM.

In BF3 you can usually tell who has an SSD as a handful of people are always the first to load in a server, then the rest come :D

Same goes for BF4 i always load in late when the map changes, my clan mates have SSD's they always load much faster

I have a dedicated games SSD and glad I decided to go down that route. Load time are way faster, I am often the first in games like BF4. Is that worth the cost of another SSD? Well when you think of all the time saved not staring at loading screens day in day out, then for me, yes, it is worth it.
Load times for FSX used to be so long i could make a cuppa tea and it still was not ready!

If you have the space, SSD everytime.

Games and games level usually load a lot faster from an SSD. As said before, no difference in framerates.

Now some would suggest that a game level taking 4 seconds to load instead of 10 is no big deal. However, having installed all the (few) games that I play on my SSDs in recent years, I'd be reluctant to go back to using a HDD (unless I really had no space to install any more games).

Faster Winodows boot times, faster game loads, app starts, system shutdown, updates etc. All these things add up to making your PC more enjoyable to use (especially if you are even a little impatient).
