SSD Performance Woes

Hello

I've just installed a Corsair Neutron 3 240gb and cloned my OS from my older intel 510 120gb SSD, noticed copying times were pretty abysmal both SSD to SSD and from my mechanical drives to the SSD's.

A AS SSD bench on both drives seems to show very slow write speeds.

Any ideas where I've gone wrong, perhaps driver wise etc. They are on a MSI X79 GD65 board and i installed the various driver / storage utils that came with the board.

Am presuming its more driver related as both drives are consistently slow. The intel drive may well have been suffering before the Corsair went in ( probably) , i just hadn't noticed !

Any help appreciated.

Yes its definately already ACHI in the bios.

I used Macrium to clone the windows drive and resized the partition afterwards using the disk management thingy in windows. Dont think it was an issue with the clone software as such, although i did have to go into the registry and amend the Dos drive location as it wouldnt fully boot into the desktop. Other than that its been fine since.

I've now managed to fully remove the Intel Rapid Storage drivers and after rebooting further removed / deleted the Intel C600 storage drivers via device manager and that seems to have sorted it, write speeds much more like expected whilst its the default Microsoft achi drivers.

I might try re-installing the latest intel drivers at the weekend, but for now its working.

Cheers
