ssd performance?

Hi

I have a intel x25-m ssd on a gigabyte ex58-ud5 board however it does not seem to to fast

I have checked under device manager and it is on channel 0 but is operating under pio mode 4 in the bios i have set it to ahci

if i click to enable dma then go back in it is no longer ticked?

any ideas?

What is your benchmark result with AS SSD? Let us know that and then we can see what speed youre getting.

looks ok to me, run an Intel SSD Toolbox TRIM and the 4k write scores should go up a little more, but overall the drive looks fine.

ok well here is mine.

I have seen similar on the net. I just live with mine like that

When I first bought the drive it was 410ish on as ssd but now it has settled down to about the score you see.

thanks it seems to be if i plugged it in channel 0 or channel 1 it was running pio mode 4 ive swapped connections and it is running at udma 6 so does everything look fine with it now? thanks

Hmmmmm this makes me think the X25 might be a decent buy.
