SSD prices creeping up

It's because the NAND manufacturers weren't happy with falling prices so they have cut down on manufacturing to artificially reduce stock in order to bring prices back up.

Glad I managed to get my 256GB M4 no competitor price hinting. :D

Where was the 256GB no competitor price hinting.? I was on the hunt for one but wasn't prepared to pay £130+ for over 200GB. So went with an Intel 180GB for £88.

Crazy how prices fluctuate. Back in May £80 was a cracking deal for my 128GB M4.

Was meant to write "SSD manufacturers weren't happy" thus NAND being cut back.

It all really works on supply and demand init? I can't say where I got mine no competitor price hinting. as it is a competitor but it was a black friday deal, so a one off price.

If the competitor is who I think it was, OcUK matched the M4 256 offer recently on one of their daily deals, so there was no need for the yellow writing if they didn't specify beyond price :p

Creeping up? They've crept up, and beyond.

Been monitoring 256gb 830s for a couple of months now, and I missed my chance about 4-5 weeks ago when they were at their uber lowest. Now they're all just silly.

Can't even see any decent priced OCZ drives any more, apart from the Octanes and they're just awful drives (far as Mac compatibility is concerned anyway).

Roll on New Year, and hopefully some sensibly priced 840s.

I don't understand the reason for yellow writing as I didn't even mention the competitor nor anything to hint towards it, besides the fact that you can't even buy it anymore.

Edit: Just noticed any typing of prices has been removed. LOL

It's the thought police again. They treat us like children who are incapable of using google shopping to compare prices. Quick guys, pledge fealty to ocuk! I've been a customer for over a decade despite the annoying rules of this fora, I'll only order if its a competitive price, from ocuk or anywhere else, since comparing prices is magnitudes easier than earning the money. If the prices are the same or close ill order here, which is often the case. Draconian rules make me think twice. We are not a fan club, or a cult. We are your customers. Treat us with respect or we WILL go elsewhere.
