Just got myself a OCZ vertex 2 60gb drive, changed to ACHI in the bios but when i start up now it sits on a page stating "ACHI DRIVE INIT" for about 2 minutes before it loads up windows 7. Is this normal or am i doing something wrong, cheers.

Was AHCI enabled in the BIOS when you installed Windows 7? Reason I ask is I know it can cause problems if you change it after you install Windows but I believe there is a registry hack to get around this. Other than that I would look for a BIOS update and perhaps even updated Chipset drivers for your board.
