ever since the new samsung magician update I have had some problems.
1st was a blue screen (twice) when I redid the OS optimization. Never had the problem with the old software. So I changed the Optomization to "Maximum Capacity"

2nd - Now every few days I get this-- This ssd will be in Read-Only Mode. No operation can be performed on this ssd..

Any ideas as to why it should do this. Only half way full (128GB ssd) Only used for OS & programs. I need an answer if any one has one.
If this ssd fails I'll never Ever buy another. Reason, because everyone said they were Better than a normal HDD. Well I never had a problem with a normal HDD.

Samsung SSD 830 series--AHCI-Activated..Sata 6Gb/s (SATA 3) connected..
OS Optimization-Maximum Capacity.

It is also saying--Drive Health Status in RED..POOR back up the data and replace the disk. Total Bytes Written 0.00TB.
How can this Be ??????

Sequential Read--543---Sequential Write--333
Random Read--73836---Random Write--30432

Hi YarwoodUK---I changed the "Max Reliability" to "Max Performance" and it gave me a BSOD as it did twice before a few months ago. Anyway, PC resarted and lo n behold, it showed "Drive Health Good". So whatever Samsung has done with this new program, they need to redo it. This Samsung Magician must be messing up a lot of peoples ssd's.
I popped into their UK site, and begads, it is a Nightmare if you have to claim for another ssd. So, No more Samsung ssd for me.
I have the "CrystalDiskMarkInfo" & the AS SSD Benchmark, but neither gives you the opportunity to do a "Max Reliability" etc. Mind You, me thinks these programs that do give you the Max Performance etc. are just a waste of time, going by what this Magician is doing. So I shall leave well alone from now on.
Take Care.
