Hi All - I wonder if someone can help me here. I have a 1tb ssd which has been working fine up until recently it wouldn't allow an update of one of my games to be installed from steam. I keep getting the disk write error through steam.

I have tried various way to resolve this but now i just cant install anything on the drive. So far i have tried the following:-

1) installed mini tool
2) tried formatting in ntfs and fat 32 / Seems to have worked (empty drive - can make a new folder etc, but just lags transferring any files and never seems to get there)
3) Tried wiping partition or creating one through mini tool but just gets stuck
4) win 10 recognises the drive with no issues.

Any other suggestions would be a huge help, thanks.

Any updates available on the manufacturers diagnostics tool or have you run any tests on it?

It's buggered, if it's under warranty get it replaced otherwise chuck it in the bin.

RMA time.

I've had a few SanDisks go and I would avoid buying that brand again in honesty although I did find the RMA process fast and easy.
