Hello all,

I'm thinking about buying the MSI GT683DX laptop, but I would like to strip out the two HDD Raid config and replace it with a small SDD for Windows and a larger SDD for games, Is this possible I've never owed a laptop if this can be done is it just as easy as doing it on a desktop IE take one out put the new one in install windows then off you go or is there more to it with a laptop?

Many thanks

i should leave it as it is,i was thinking of doing somethin like that with my laptop , but im gonna leave thinggs as they are coz things run nice and fast as it is,it is easy to change hdd over but not sure what happens if os is pre installed which is what mine is

Or just buy a SSD for the OS and leave one of the HDD as storage and the other HDD as backup with an external casing.
Currently on a laptop with a SSD OS and took out the optical drive and replaced it with the mechanical harddrrive.

Just out of interest would it support 3hdd/ssds? What if you had an ssd in place of the optical drive and the two hdds and an external dvd/blueray? Is this possible?
