SSD question

hi all
I have an Acer f5-571-5050
1tb hdd
8gb ram
core i5 -5200u
ive hardly used this laptop
but ive always thought it isn't the best- or fastest that's probably why I haven't used it much
its about 3 years old I guess
the question is- is it worth putting a SSD in it, and are there any issues I will have doing this?
I am no stranger to building PCs but I have never bought or fitted an SSD drive

Should be straight swap but need to do fresh OS install. Defo worth it spinner HD are slow especially 2.5" you have plenty of ram if you had 2-4gb then upgrade that otherwise would be using hd as virtual ram

Nope. My old 64gb has 95% life

Maybe if browsing all day everyday cache will wear out write cycles
