Hiya all.

Well ive just bought and installed my first ever SSD. I got it from the MM and it works a treat. However it was just the bare drive I recieved. Is there any types of programs i need to download to keep it running at its optimal performance or will win7 do that for me?

Many thanks for any replies

you need to make sure Trim is running http://www.google.co.uk/search?sour...g1&aql=&oq=how+to+make+sure+trim+is+&gs_rfai=

Download the intel toolbox this download is for intels SSD for maintenance for your ssd

If you download "crystaldisk info" this will tell you info about your ssd and if trim is working on the drive it will be highlighted in black

Go into bios and make sure ACHI is selected instead of IDE SATA.
