ssd questions

my hard drive is failing so i'm thinking about replacing it with a samsung 830 256 ssd, my mother board is a few years old and only has sata 2 3gbs i know it won't run as fast but am i likely to encounter any problems.
also overclockers are listing two drives one appears to be a desktop drive does it matter which one i get as the notebook one is cheaper

Hard drives and anything like that will happily work in either machine providing you have the appropriate port/slot/ device support etc etc

just buy the cheapest samsung 830,they are all the same drive apart from the bundled software and a bracket which bumps up the price

just go for ssd=os and big 2tb hdd=storage and thats all you need really
