SSD quick Questions

ok just got meself a SSD a Intel X25-M Mainstream 80GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive

question 1 IDE or ahci

question 2 do i need any chip set Drivers ?

me too looking to order this hard drive tomorrow so any info would be great?
I only install windows on my Western Digital's Raptors in RAID-0 before so do I do the same for ssd or is their any leads I need to order as well.
and 2nd what about this hard drive instead

They use standard SATA cabling, nothing special required.

The OCZ drive is faster, but has less capacity (stating the obvious I know), so its about whether you need space or want top performance.
 
I agree with ih8modem. You need to evaluate whether or not you are looking for space or performance. It ultimately comes down to what you are going to be using the rig for.

If you are running an intel chipset make sure you are running the latest drivers

The first post in the following link will provides information and another link to a site where you can pick up the drivers. On page two there is a description of how to find out what drivers you currently have. Although the post is about OCZ drives it does have useful generic info.
