I know the benefits of using RAID 0 on normal HDD's but was wondering have people experience in using RAID 0 with sata3 SSD's

2 x 60GB SSD's in RAID 0 vs 120 GB SSD (the 120GB being a good £30 cheaper)

So will the difference in speed be worth paying an extra 30

you'll need a sata3(6G) raid card to get the full benefits and they are very expensive at the moment. you could use a sata2(3G) but you will be bottlenecked by the sata2 controller and max out at 300MB! which would be a step down. so would be much better of buying a 120GB SSD with the cost of a raid card you could buy 2 x 120Gb and still have lots left over

what motherboard do you have? does it have sata3 ports? and can they be raided?

The SSDs are fast as it is in everything, gaming, file transfer, video editing. In a Raid0 they would be even faster, but would you need even faster drives?

all depends on how fast you want to go and how much you want to spend

if it was me and i had the cash, id defo look at a raid0 with 2x120s or something like that lol im a little crazy like that :D
