I missed something a while ago thats just been pointed out to me. Approx March Intel enabled Trim for simple raid setups for SSDs for Intel based motherboards.

Now by Intel based motherboads I assume they mean running Intel drivers?
So does that mean that just wacking another SSD in for a lot of people would mean they can now run RAID and TRIM?
(assuming TRIM enabled os and drives)

It was a misunderstanding at the time, Intel only enabled TRIM for controllers running in RAID mode, this means you can have mechanical disks in a RAID array with a single SSD attached to a controller in RAID mode and still have TRIM commands passed to the drive. SSDs in a RAID array still won't support TRIM.
