Ok well Being an HDD user for many years & then upgraded to a Single SSD just for windows.

I have NOW got 2 x KINGSTON 120GB SSDNOW V300

OK so I have never done RAID in SSD is it just the same as setting up 2 HDD's ?

I know boot time MAY be slower, but I'me cool with that It's just 120 is not enough for my needs & RAIDING them would be for me. As i can't afford to buy any 500GB etc.

So how would i go about setting up these 2 KINGSTONS up in RAID just for Windows,( I have 2x 1T HDD's for storage & other things)

If anyone as some sort of a Guide or step by step set up I would be for ever in your debt. Big time :)

MY MOBO is the crosshair v formula

I hope One of your guys Can Help, Just never Done SSD's like this Before.

Thanks Clockers

OK so I would like to Rephrase the Above..

SO Thinking about it, RAID-0 would lose my TRIM which to be honest is an Important factor in keeping The SSD performance in top Form.

Please correct me if I'm wrong in remembering that Intel's Rapid Storage Controller started to implement TRIM in RAID configurations in the more recent versions of the driver some time last year ?

If this is correct does anyone know if this is also possible with AMD Boards these days, OR know of a way to allow TRIM to take place while using RAID-0
with the 2 SSD's i have.

I'm Running Windows 8, By the way And i know Windows 8 as Full TRIM Support.
But does this also Mean it as full TRIM support for RAID Formats to or is this just for single SSD ?

If NOT !!.. Then what would you consider to be the best Configuration with 2 x KINGSTON 120GB SSDNOW V300 ?

BUMP!!!

BUMPING Because I can't get on with my re-build until I Have some Advice on this Issue & I'm Keen to get on with my Build as you can imagine :)

Hi

If it's any help I'm running a pair of Corsair SSD's in RAID 0 on my Rampage IV Extreme board

To enable full TRIM support I had to perform a UEFI installation (but that shouldn't be an issue if you're using Windows 8)

Take a look at Asus ROG Site

Hey Pal, Thank you for the reply.. Can i ask, are you using an INTEL Chipset ?
As INTEL do a driver that does support TRIM in RAID-0, but only on Intel MOBO's

Also these are the MAXIMUS MOTHERBOARDS | RAMPAGE MOTHERBOARDS I see, And i have the Crosair V Formula, Unlucky for me lol.

I'm a Member of there site & Have posted & awaiting a reply from HiVizMan One of the MODS on there..

Thanks again for the reply Man Appreciated ;)

OK Make this as

SOLVED

I'll NOT be doing Raid-0 I very much would like to Keep TRIM as it is Important

I'll be Installing OS on one of them, & GAMES etc. on the other as Advised By HiVizMan

From the ASUS ROG Website.

Thanks People
