Hi,

I recently bought a new setup containing 2 x Agility 3 60GB and 2 x Seagate Baracuda 1TB 7200.12.

I don't "think" I am getting particularly good SSD raid results and I was wondering wether it may be better to reinstall windows on 1 SSD and use the other SSD for programs and applications or something like that?

I have an ASRock Extreme4 Gen3 which I think I read somewhere doesnt perform particularly great with raid.

I was wondering what people would recommend for best real world performance. Or if anyone had any other relevent advise.

Do you think the write speed on Crystal seq looks strangley slow for raid SSD?

Thanks

So you think a write speed of ~800MB/s "looks strangley (strangely) slow"?

It sounds pretty fast to me.

As long as you're using the Intel SATA 3 ports it's as good as you're going to get.

I "think" i read somewhere that ATTO was based on reading very simple 10101 text files or something so I get an 800mb write speed. But look at CrystalDisk, it gives a read speed of 380mb (which is probably a lot more realistic) but then it gives a write speed of 120mb.

If the CrystalDisk statistics are more realistic, shouldnt I be able to achieve 380mb read and 120mb write without raid?

Also i dont think you can have TRIM with raid, I heard that was a really good option for SSD.
