What steps should one go through to properly "set" a pair of SSD's for use in a raid on windows 7?
I appreciate windows 7 can do the alignment etc on a single disk but does it also know how to handle an SSD raid or do I need to use an external tool first to make sure the disks are properly prepared.

I'd guess the steps would be something like: align disks with tool in windows, power down, boot up and set the raid THEN go and install windows?

What tool is needed? As I understand it diskpart is the weapon of choice?

Got a pair of C300's and after getting my SSD experience off to the best start :)

Mine are only the 64GB ones so I should get around the same read and about 130ish write. Not amazing (write wise at least) but should be decent. Alignment SHOULD increase performance so it might be worth (in your case) imaging, aligning and putting the image back :)
Your numbers look about right tho. 128GBx2?
