Just installed a M4 256GB SSD with the o/s on it and a 1TB data disk on a MSI Z77 board.
Often on reboot the SSD is not seen by the bios. The data disk is always seen.
Swapping the cables over gives the same result - the SSD isn't seen.
If I leave it for a while with the machine turned off and start up, the SSD is seen again.
It's a bit weird - I wish the SSD would just die rather than play hide and seek.
I'm assuming its the SSD that's flaky but would have assumed it would just totally stop working and not half work.
Am open to any other ideas - should I be looking at other components?
