SSD Recommendation £200 Max Budget

I'm in desperate need of a wipe and reinstall, but was thinking I'd upgrade to an SSD at the same time.

I'm prepared to spend a maximum of £200 on a new solution. The only thing I'm concerned about is the limited storage available currently for the price. Obviously I'd put my OS on there (currently using Windows 7 Ultimate). The only other major software I use regularly are Adobe Master Collection and Steam.

I've currently got just short of 3TB's with about 500GB free. Most of that is media so I'm more than happy to stick with mechanical drives for that. But all my drives are out of date and were probably cheap at the time, so would appreciate recommendations on whether they're worth keeping or not. I'm prepared to add £50 to the pot if it includes an HDD.

Currently:
1TB Western Digital [WD10EADS-00L5B1]
2 x 1TB HDD in RAID0 (Anyone know how I can identify the individual drives without restarting, otherwise I'll update post next reboot)

Another vote for a samsung 840, if you dont need the high write speeds of the 256gb pro. The basic 250gb model is still a good choice, and much cheaper.

Using RAID0 for 2x128GB drives IMO isn't really worth while. Pretty much all performance on SSD's caps at 128GB if I remember right. SSD's are so damn fast anyway why take the risk of raiding two small ones for a little bit faster read/write times?

Ok I've bought the Samsung 840 Pro 256GB, unfortunately it's £25 cheaper at a competitor, so bought from there.

And you probaly don't need (or won't notice) those high write speeds.
Yep, pondered wether to go for the pro, but couldnt justify the extra outlay. Should hopefully be receiving my 250gb 840 tomorrow. Been running a 5400 rpm laptop drive, (and it's on it's last legs) since my vertex 2e went pop.

You might notice a slight improvement ;)
