SSD Recommendation for Intel RST

What do you want to use the ssd for?
If it's for OS and progs then you want min of 64gb, I went for 128 and for me thats about right for Win7, Office, PS5 and a couple of games, all libraries are moved off to mech drive.

As for which one, the best atm is the Crucial M4

its not for an o/s but for caching using intel RST (or whatever its called) and from what I can tell 64gb is the max it can use anyway, i actually tried it with my vertex 3 last night and the performance was pretty good, ive now sold the vertex 3 so want something from 30-64gb

The limit on SSD storage you can set aside for Intet RST is 60GB IIRC, so look for something affordable between 20 and 60GB optimally. The drive you linked would be absolutely fine, however RST performance does scale with both drive capacity and speed so there's nothing wrong with getting better bang for your buck drives like the 60GB Agility 3 or Crucial M4. That is, so long as your budget stretches that far - and be aware that you could only use 60 of the M4's 64GB for the purposes of RST.

It's also worth noting that Intel recommend SLC SSD's for better write performance over time, but that would up the cost quite a bit. I don't think you should worry about those too much.

If you don't get on well with I-RST then it may be handy to be able to use the SSD as just a plain boot drive, in which case you should be looking at a 60GB OCZ.
