Hi All,

I've been a big fan of the Samsung range of SSD's currently using 2 x 500GB Evo 840 Drives.

With Black Friday approaching i'll be looking to hopefully grab another 2 SSDs either 120/250GB ones.

Obviously i'll be keeping an eye out for Evo 850 deals. But what other comparable brand would people recommend over the Samsung if the price is right?

If SATA SSD and wanting to give another brand a go/cost reasons, then Crucial MX300 followed by WD Blue (3D Nand version now available too)/Hynix SL308 are good secondary choices to Samsung.

The difference in speed between brands is NOT noticeable on side by side systems. If it's for important data then look for warranty, else just go for the cheapest.

I use a Sandisk(now WD?) Ultra II 480GB and X300 512GB which cost £85 and £89. Both have been running great.
