You can only try.

I've done the same to a hard drive before, but all is not lost - you can either attempt to the glue the plastic bit back on, or do what I did and reattach the cable with duct tape :D

overclockers would not let me rma it,ive ordered

would this work,as my other single cable went up in smoke when i tried to wedge it in.

Er, no.

That cable is for 1.8" SSD's which have a connector which looks like this:

You have a 2.5" SSD with standard sata and power connectors like this:

You may not be able to tell from the size of the pictures but the connector is smaller on the 1.8" (micro SATA).

You need to use standard SATA and power cables.

I would suggest that if you tried to wedge the wrong sort of cable in you've sent more than the cable up in smoke.

If the retailer refused an RMA you should have tried the manufacturer.

If the manufacturer refused an RMA you should have glued on the bit you broke off and then used the proper cables.

Your SSD, probably.

will this do

SATA 1.5GB/s & 3Gb/s Serial Combo Data & Power Cable 0.5m

I've superglued one of these back on a normal 3.5" drive.

Can't see it being any more difficult to do it to an SSD. That drive is still in use today, 2 years on, and I've unplugged and re-plugged it a fair few times since the repair.

The sata connector on one of my drives broke clean off and the broke bit was wedged in the sata cable. I managed to retrieve the snapped bit but somewhere between me finding the superglue and coming back to my desk it was gone. In the end I just bent the drive sata pins up slightly to make a good contact and then superglued the cable to the drive and its been working fine since.

It will if it's a standard sized power connector and data cable.

Why can't you use a SATA power cable from your power supply and a normal SATA data cable?

because the power cable wont plug in as the plastic surround has snapped off ,but the sata cable plastic surround is still ok,so i thought if i baught a dual sata cable with 4 pin molex connector and try pluging in to sata and power slot together,
