i get that SATA 3 is quicker than SATA 2. That was pretty obvious even to me...
what i cannot find an answer to is if they are 100% compatible?
if i bought a SATA 3 SSD drive would it be restricted by the SATA2 connection or would if just fall over and refuse to be recognised?
I want to future proof essentially so i would look to be buying a SATA 3 SSD and then, maybe next year, upgrade the mothboard to one which supports the next gen processors and SATA3.
Does this sound feasible?
