I know Samsungs Magician software when used with their ssd's can be used to set up windows correctly for ssd use but can any of the other ssd makers software do the same??????

Also does anyone know of any of the software that supports Raid 0 in windows 8 please?

not that I know of,samsung magician doesn't work or see raid drives far as im aware either

you can google ssd optimisation and follow the guides to turn off indexing and other things, personally I don't bother with any of that I just install windows and leave it be but upto you

I raided 2 840 evo's and the software doesn't see them at all and cannot detect any of its drive as it comes up as a intel drive due to being raided

got good speeds but firmware updates etc cannot be done on the drives through windows

When I installed windows 8.1 on my ssd I went through all the recommended ssd optimisations and found that the OS had already done everything for me.

Then I loaded up Samsung magician and it said the same thing, though for whatever reason it still said the OS was unoptimised.

When fresh installing I normally keep Sean's guide open to make sure you are doing everything correctly.
