I recently came across this and i am wondering if anyone can clarfiy this is correct and useful.

Disable File Content Indexing - will free up from several megabytes to several gigabytes of disk space and will also speed up your computer
One of the things SSDs are most noticeably faster than mechanical hard drives is file access. Because of this search on an SSD is much faster than on a traditional hard disk and you don't need the content of all your files to be indexed in order to do a fast file search. Disabling the indexing service will not only free up space on your SSD but will also boost the performance of your computer as it will no longer index any file that is written to disk. To disable the indexing service for your SSD do the following:
Click Start and then Computer (or press Windows + E from the keyboard)
Right click on your SSD (e.g. "C:") and select Properties
Uncheck the "Allow files on this drive to have contents indexed in addition to file properties" (should be as in the image to the right)
Click OK
In the dialog window that appears select to apply this to the drive, subfolders and files and click OK
Repeat the process for any other SSD disk partitions, too

yh but I think I re enabled mine because it wouldn't search for any file I wanted or typed in

the biggest space savers are disabling sleep and reducing your pagefile to 2gb,

Ok.

Is there a way I can get the driver for "Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver and utility ver:11.7.0.1013" but not install the utility as I think that might be cause-in me issues (think i have found it), do i stay with the one on my motherboards website or do i take the more up-to-date version?

Just unzip the driver, Right click on the HD controller (probably under somthing like ATA controller) in Device Manager, select Update Driver and point to the unzipped folder.

I always disable indexing.

As for pagefile, 2GB is fine if you have 8GB or more RAM. I had it disabled completely on my old 120gb drive, never once had an issue.

Ok, do I literally just go into the setup and change it to 2048? (I have 16GB Memory)

To be honest with 16GB of RAM you don't technically need a pagefile.

But on the safe side yeah, It's better off to have it and not need it, rather than not have it and need it! Set to 2GB (2048)
