SSD speed difference?

Hi all,

I am thinking of getting a couple of SSD's for use in my gaming PC. 2 questions,

1) From a gaming perspective (load times) what sort of a difference is there between SSD's? I mean a drive with 275mb/s and 540mb/s would be how different in the real world?

2) If I have say my operating system and games on a SSD and movies and other rubbish on a 'normal' HD, would the normal HD slow my boot time or loading times from my SSD?

1. Not tried loads of games on my SSD, bit i play LOTRO a lot. From being one of the last to load I a now one if the quickest. Loading screens from 30s down to 5s for me..

2. Only when you are loading the other rubbish. Windows will still boot insanely quickly
