So i have purchased 2 Vertex 2 120GB hard drives and run benchs on both an get really rather different stats:

Above Thats My C drive with about 25GB of data on it its 6days old. Also this has firmware 1.33 on it.

Thats the second SSD no data on it 5minutes old and has firmware it came with which appears to be 1.32.

How on 2 identical drives can write speads be so much lower?

I realise not much lower but ive had that drive 6 days is this going to continue? the degrading of speeds? Does this mean TRIM isnt't working?

Installed fresh from the box with Windows 7 Ultimate, am i doing something wrong or is this expected?

I just bought one as well and get much slower speeds, I'm using it in an Acer TM8371G SU9400 CPU (DC 1.4Ghz), 4GB RAM etc.

It could be that one drive is 25nm and the other is 32nm nand. There was a big thing about this a while back as OCZ changed from 32nm to 25nm with less chips and it was slower and smaller capacity than the older version.
