Hi guys,

Just purchased a crucial M4 128gb and installed it all today. I was just wondering, do these speeds look ok?

c:/ is the SSD, d:/ is a mechanical drive.

It's connected to a 6gb/s port on my Asrock Z68 Extreme Gen 4 I was just wondering if these write speeds were a little low? I've installed IRST and changed all the SATA modes to AHCI.

I've attached some pictures from the motherboard manual in case I'm not using the best sata port.

Thanks for any help, much appreciated!

have you changed the ports from IDE to ACHI at all in the BIOS?

the images don't seem to load for me for the motherboard

which 1 of the screen shots is your SSD? one shows C Drive and one shows D Drive, take its that its the C drive?

Yeah, I've done that mate. The pictures should load now mate, give it a refresh.

C:/ is the SSD and D:/ is a normal mechanical 7200rpm.

excellent, I think the read speeds are about right as if I found the right drive are the advertised read and right speeds

Read 500MB/s, Write 175MB/s

if so it looks pretty spot on

11, 12, 13 and 14 from the manual are the sata 3 ports so as long as its using 1 of them it should be fine (white ports not the blue ones)
