I often find that when waking my htpc from sleep, the hard drive whirrs away solidly for a good minute or two making the htpc slow to use for this period. Now, my Mrs wants to be able to wake it from sleep and start channel hopping immediately so is giving me grief!
I have a feeling this is due to the ancient 320gb hard drive in there which I bought 2nd hand off a forum so was looking to replace it & was wondering what your opinions were in regards to a suitable drive for a htpc. Bear in mind it would only have windows 7 & blu-ray playing software on it with tv recording being put onto a 1tb samsung f1 when funds allow
