Finally found the time today to swap my OCZ 60GB Vortex 2E for my Crucial C300 64GB (that I picked up for £70 ).

Changed the SATA ports in the BIOS from 3gb/s to 6gb/s setting and swapped the normal SATA cable for a SATA 6gb/s cable.

I think I am pleased with that.

Write speeds look a little low on the Crucial, have you tried various drivers for the SATA3 controller?
