I'm having a few problems with my new setup so I want to reinstall the OS, the Intel tools download isn't up atm so I was wondering if I needed any special tools to wipe the SSD or will a reformat work?

The SSD is the Intel X 25M 160GB.

I don't have the intel ssd, but do have the samsung, I've never used any tools to install windows7. I just use the delete partition in win7 setup. I think the tools are required for xp only, but I could be wrong.

If you want to clean your drive, which a format won't do, before reinstalling Windows then get yourself HDDErase and run this from a boot disk in DOS first, with the drive controller set to IDE mode. This will also wipe all data from your drive.

If you search Fire Wizard's posts he has done a full step by step guide.
