SSD Trouble

Hi i have just done a new build and i have installed windows on the new SSD that i bought but 50% of the time when i reboot i get boot errors cus the drive is not online even when i go into the bios sometimes its not showing up and i have to turn off and boot again and then it boots up
Why is that happening??:confused::confused:

Plus i have had the system freezing for a few seconds on off for 5 to 10 mins sometimes getting and msg saying that my video card had a issue but has recovered whats that about please ?

had a few blue screens making me most unhappy:mad::mad:

At the moment my new pc is not as reliable as the one i had yesterday
I am sure as i can be that all my drivers are uptodate this has been happening since the i first bootup i done
any ideas anyone i am thinking SSD somehow not right how can i check??

Wow just downloaded the corsair ssd toolbox and looks like there loads i can do hopefully that will solve my issue i'll update here when i know
whats the best way to tackle the video card i start by reinstalling the drivers c what happens :)

This can be caused by a few things, normally it's just iffy drivers. I had a similar issue with drivers for the past few versions however it seems the latest nvidia drivers whql (331.65) resolved it for me id suggest updating to those and when you install check 'perform clean install' (or something along those lines) just incase any of your settings have been giving issues.

Other times i've experienced it it's down to my RAM not being stable, or in my most recent of cases my BIOS had the wrong ram settings applied. make sure your BIOS is running the correct XMP profile for the RAM and not some auto guess from the BIOS.
 
if its sandforce controlled ssd then there are issues atm with intel sata3 ports,best to use any third party asmedia ect sata ports till they fix it

yea i just reinstalled 331.65 but has just happend again 3 times in ten mins the last time being 10secs ago so thats a bit depressing keep giving me this msg..

i will check out as best i can about the ram cus yea it could be something like that as i have not configerd any thing but the boot order for the HDs

corsair toolbox comfirmed i have the correct firmware , optimized the drive and gave me all green light for no errors so i restarted and took me 2 goes pressing power on /off/on/off then loaded and crashed back to the start screen which then took me anther two goes on/off/on etc ... at least once its booted up it does stay on so far :)

ok well thanks for advice i will keep trying but it really is anoying:mad::mad:
 
Try a different port, better yet try what wazza suggested, try using the 3rd party SATA port and see if you get the same behavior.

Every time it crashes and when you boot it back up and go to BIOS, do you always see the drive? or is it more like hit and miss?

Changing the SATA cable might be worth changing as well.
