I have a Crucial M4 128GB drive and it's been faultless however I need some extra space. Don't really want to go down the RAID option as I don't have much space in my case so I'm after a single drive solution.

Obvious choice is a 256GB M4 at £169.99 however I'm open to suggestions if better drives have surfaced over the past year/months.

The Samsung 830 drive seems to be getting good reviews and is cheaper too at only £149.99.

Likewise the Corsair Force GS 240GB is also getting good reviews (faster still than the 830?) and is priced at this week only for £169.99. This drive has the Sandforce controller and I seem to recall there being issues with Sandforce drives, is this still the case?

no issues here with my sandforce corsair force gt

personally the samsung is the best deal with £20 cashback making it £130

you dont have to be,its 100% open to everyone, choose the cheapest drive also, they are all the same drive apart from the bundled software/bracket

you have to claim before the 30th of september if i remember correctly,i think you visit the samsung site

Crucial uses a Marvell controller and Samsung uses their own ARM based controller - 3-Core ARM9 Risc MCX
