SSD Vertex 2 help, please

Go into the bios select AHCI instead of IDE for the SATA ports.

Disconnect current hard disk, connect SSD.

Reboot and set up windows on the SSD.

Thats about all except reinstalling programs and data.

Depends on how old they are.
My 2 year old 320 g was recognized fine so was my 1 tb WD black but not my
very old 160 g drive.

This is the procedure I used when installing my Vertex 2E some time ago...

- Set controller mode in BIOS to AHCI.
- Connect SSD into system and disconnect any HDD.
- Install Windows (just hit next at the install/format screen).
- Install relevant drivers starting with Chipset and GPU.
- Run Windows experience index assessment.
- Connect up HDD again.
- Redirect Music, Pictures, Documents, Videos and Downloads folder to normal HDD.
- Disable System restore or reduce the amount of space allocated for it.
- Disable Hibernation.
- Disable Windows search indexing and Drive indexing.

Ok, I've hit a wierd problem.
I changed bios to AHCI, disconnected all other hdd. rebooted with win7 64 dvd in USB cdrom.
It detects the vertex, get's to the boot from cd/dvd part. Then it either says "unable to boot from cd code 5" or goes into setup and then says a cd/dvd device driver is missing, asking me to find it, and wont go any further.

HELP!
