SSD w7 only 6.3

Hey guys just finished my new build windows experieance is only rating my new c300 128gb as 6.3 is there somthing i need to install activate for better performance?

Are you running it through Sata 2 or Sata 3? is AHCI enabled?

What's your bootup time like etc? Thinking of getting the same SSD myself

ahci is enabled and yes its in sata 3 port. dont seem as fast as it should be i dont think

only run it the once tho because benchmarking ssd's a lot of times can cripple performance

I get 7.8 with my 128GB C300 - just for reference.

Have you got write caching enabled ?

Not sure what SATA controllers are on your motherboard but I get much better performance with the Intel Chipset over the Marvell Chipset on my board.

You don't want to disable it, you want to make sure it's enabled.

well it was enabled 6.4 on windows experiance

Run the Atto bench mark as posted above by BigJimmy and see what results you get.

Windows Experience Index isn't the be-all and end-all in all honesty, I wouldn't take what it says as being 100% accurate, althought in this case it may well be pointing to something wrong in the set up somewhere, but run Atto to be sure and post the results.

Edit: is this a clean install on a new drive? if you have installed windows on the drive more than once did you secure erase the drive prior to the last install?

in the intel rapid storage thing shows it as only being 3gbps yet its plugged into the 6gbs sata port and using the sata 3 cable

never mind all that just run the benchmark i posted above and report back the results
