You should be looking at the Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM.

7,200-RPM terabytes from Hitachi, Samsung, Seagate, and WD face off

SATA 3 makes no difference for a mechanical HDD.

SATA 2 works up to around 280MB/s and with a HDD you'd be lucky to get half that speed.

Putting a SATA 3 interface on a HDD doesn't make any difference.


OK..Ive got one of these SS F3 1Tb drives as my main drive already. Im puting this in another system...so guess I might be just as well buying another then!

HDD's obviously haven't change in the last year or so then.
