Hi guys. I have an OCZ vertex 4. Its 8 months old. When i bought my pc the score on the windows rating system was 7.9 and i counted it today and its 5.9 It went really really low. Any chance of having a problem with the disk or something else? Its got 25GB/128gb free but i dont think that is a problem

Windows Rating index changes over time - as you update your Windows on your PC, new hardware will enter the rating system and change the averages over time.

For instance, I had an i7 2600K that was 7.9, then a month later it was 6.x. I overclocked it and it went to 7.7. A few months later it was 7.5.

5.9 is the maximum score you'd get from a regular hard drive. Do you have any in your system?

I got an hdd but my ssd is my primary. I will post some screenshots from crystal disk mark soon. I dont think its the hdd. My friend has an older SSD with 2 hdds on his pc and he still has 7.9 but he had a format 2 hours ago ;p

only way to restore it is to backup the data on it and secure erase/restore the data

it will go back to 7.9 again but will drop off over time like it has done, things like the drive filling up and how well the controller/trim/garbage collection maintain the drive will affect things also
