SSD with 2 partitions?

OK. Been convinced by the lovely people on this forum to get a
Samsung 850 Evo SSD.
The next question is: Will a lose performance if a have 2 partition on it?
1 for OS other games?
What files should be on the OS side? I presume the OS, drivers, but does Office, Adobe, etc go on 2nd partition?

What possible benefit does partitioning an SSD gain you?

When I format the OS, I don't lose games etc. Just format 1st partition, then reinstall OS from clean updated image, save days installing update for OS.

No performance penalty at all - and keeping your OS separate from your data makes absolute sense

I partition my primary SSD. C: is an 80GB partition which I use 35GB of and then I have another 157GB partition for games and caches.

It's very useful for making system images for backup. They are only 25GB each rather than 125GB.

Thanks. Now do I get a 500Gb or 250Gb?
Think 500Gb seems best value.

Well at 250Gb, with a windows install and pagefile on the OS segment, and hyberfil which you'll likely switch off, you'll get about 3 games on your other partition. So I'd go larger.
