Good morning,

So I recently bought a Samsung SSD on here, and as described it has a low power on count, and a low power on hours. But what did surprise me, was that despite this, the health was only at 91%.

By contrast, my boot drive has much higher usage (1544 POC and 8567 POH) but remains 100% on the health. So my question is, is this an indication that the drive might be failing? Or is this nothing to worry about?

I suspect it's because its a QVO drive, and its already had a LOT of host writes. The 860 QVO 1TB is rated for around 360TBW from what I can see, and your drive has already done around 58.5 TBW

As I suspect you won't write any where NEAR as much data to the drive, you should be good for quite some time; I doubt you will be doing 100GB per hour writes average like the previous user was! :) (58581 GB over 600 hours is a lot!)

That's a crap load of writes for 600 hours. That's been used for mining surely.

My 830 for comparison. Used as a boot drive since the day i bought it 9 years ago.

Thanks guys. It never even occurred to me to look at the writes, such is my experience looking at this data, ha ha.

The drive will be used as a storage drive for my DJ laptop, which only gets used a few times a month at most. So yeah, I'd guess it'll be fine then if that's why the health is where it is.
