I have just added a Crucial 64GB SSD to my system and ut has made an ENORMOUS difference ! Well worth the investemnt IMO

I'll join the choir on this one. I think changing to a SSD makes a HUGE difference to the "feel" of your system. Switching between and opening apps is instant and the system just seems so slick. I agree with the "replace the weakest/slowest link" approach.
I pushed the boat out and went for an Intel G2 160gb and feel it is worth every penny!
I don't do much gaming so I've got loads of free space so actually think 80gb would have been ok for a system drive (there's absolutely no point putting media on a SSD - regular high-capacity drives are best for that).
I'm now thinking of getting another SSD for my laptop. I am sure that changing the drive will have more effect than going for a whole new laptop. Anyone else done this?
Yeah but to feel this "HUGE" difference to your system, you would need to have everything installed on your SSD instead of just your Operating System...
All I would really put on it is my OS and some often-used programs like Firefox and Winamp, and perhaps a game.
So it wouldn't really be a HUGE performance increase, would it?
