When are the next gen of SSDs due out? Are they gonna be much better?

They are due out later this year and will use 25nm flash which will mean you should get better value in terms of cost v capacity, slightly better performance and reliability also. More info here.

the OCZ vertex are out now, although they dont seem to be any cheaper on the price per GB ratio.
